Adams Creek and Old Rusty
Hiking in Sussex county is always fun, but these New Jersey summers get pretty hot. What makes these two spots so great is they're the perfect places to go swimming! You may say swimming? I can do that in a safe clean pool, but can you have the adrenaline rush of steep jumps at a pool? That is what makes Adam's creek a must go place. Not only is the hike there an adventure, but you have the beautiful rushing waterfall at your disposal, you can see some locals enjoying the adrenaline rush of jumping here . However jumping can be dangerous, do not jump unless you know how, foolish people are why great natural adventures like these get taped off by the government. Just last summer a woman was hurt, click here to read the official story. Another great place, that is much safer, is old rusty in Blairstown. This abandoned bridge overhangs the lovely paulinskill river, jumping here is only about a 20 foot jump. This area can be enjoyed in the winter as well, many use the trail for jogging purposes, like my friend Rachel did in the video below. All in all these are great places to go for free summer adventure.
