Jenny Jump State Forest

Jenny Jump state Park is just one of the many great places in Sussex county to go hiking at. I personally visit the park t least twice week due to it being a short 10 minute drive away. Not only does the area offer an extensive hiking trail, it has a huge sparkling lake in the center of it known as ghost lake. Now at this point you may be wondering why "jenny jump" and why "ghost". Not only is this area beautiful but it is surrounded by history and urban legends. It is believed that the area is haunted, the park itself has been written about in Weird NJ which you can read about here . Despite the known superstitions the forest is beautiful and always a fun place to go.
